This novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett (1911) tells the story of an orphaned child Mary Lennox who is brought to England to live with Archibald Craven, a wealthy uncle, at his isolated house, Misselthwaite Manor. She discovers a secret Garden which had been locked since Mr Craven’s wife died. She explores the garden with Craven’s crippled son, Colin, and in the process they both grow in strength and character.
